Terms of Service

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of EduRise (eduorise.com), an educational platform operated for online learning, teacher course delivery, and optional in-person center management ("Platform", "we", "us").

By creating an account, logging in, enrolling in courses, using wallet or recharge features, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

If you register as a student and are under the age of majority in your country, your parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf.

2. Who May Use the Platform

The Platform supports multiple account types, each with different capabilities:

• Students — browse and purchase courses, watch lessons, take quizzes, manage per-teacher wallets, and receive certificates.
• Teachers — create and sell courses, upload video content, manage students, issue recharge codes, run quizzes, and optionally operate a Center product (attendance, finance, homework, and related tools).
• Teacher staff — accounts created by a teacher with limited, permission-based access to specific LMS or Center sections.
• Parents — linked guardian accounts with access to a parent dashboard.
• Platform administrators — internal accounts for billing, subscriptions, content moderation, and platform operations.

3. Account Registration and Security

You must provide accurate, current information when registering. Student registration requires your full name, email, password, country, phone number, guardian phone number, and grade; optional fields may include national ID, birth date, and address.

Teacher accounts require name, email, password, and country; additional profile fields may include phone, bio, degree, specialization, and teaching subjects.

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at info@eduorise.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, violate these Terms, or pose a security or legal risk.

4. Student Device Binding (One-Device Policy)

To protect course content and reduce account sharing, student accounts are bound to a single device after first successful login. The Platform stores a device token, browser fingerprint derived from your user-agent string, device label, and the IP address observed at binding time.

A secure cookie named device_token is placed on the registered device for up to five years. If you log in from a different device without an authorized reset, access will be blocked and you will see a device-blocked notice.

Device resets may be performed by your teacher or by platform administrators. Clearing browser cookies on the same device may be recoverable if the browser user-agent still matches the stored fingerprint; logging in from another device with a conflicting cookie will not be allowed.

By using a student account you consent to this device-binding mechanism described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Sessions, Remember Me, and Concurrent Logins

The Platform uses server-side sessions (stored in our database by default) with a configurable lifetime (default eight hours). When you check "Remember me" at login, a separate long-lived authentication cookie may keep you signed in across browser sessions until you log out or the token is revoked.

For security, a new login invalidates other active sessions tied to your account on the Platform.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Share, sell, or transfer your account or course access to others.
• Circumvent device locks, video playback protections, quiz timers, or content access controls.
• Upload malware, harass others, infringe intellectual property, or post unlawful content.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload Platform infrastructure.
• Use the Platform for any purpose unrelated to legitimate education or center operations.

7. Courses, Content, and Intellectual Property

Teachers retain ownership of the educational content they upload (videos, documents, questions, and course materials). By publishing content on EduRise, teachers grant the Platform a non-exclusive license to host, stream, display, and distribute that content to enrolled students and authorized staff as needed to operate the service.

Students receive a personal, non-transferable license to access purchased or enrolled courses for their own learning. You may not record, redistribute, or publicly share course videos or materials unless the teacher explicitly permits it.

The EduRise name, logo, software, and platform design are our property. You may not copy or misrepresent our brand.

8. Wallets, Recharge Codes, and Payments

Students may hold separate wallet balances per teacher, funded by redeeming recharge codes issued by that teacher or by submitting wallet recharge requests with payment proof attachments for teacher approval.

Recharge codes are single-use instruments with face value set by the issuing teacher. Redeemed codes cannot be reversed except where required by law or at our sole discretion in cases of proven error or fraud.

Course purchases, center fees, and other payments processed through the Platform are subject to the pricing shown at the time of transaction. Teachers and centers are responsible for the accuracy of fees they configure.

The Platform may generate invoices, receipts, and PDF statements for teachers, centers, and administrators. Payment disputes between students and teachers should first be resolved with the teacher; we may assist at our discretion.

9. Center Product (In-Person Centers)

Teachers who subscribe to the Center product may manage physical-center operations including student records, QR-based attendance, group schedules, homework, manual exams, honor rolls, staff salaries, expenses, and student billing.

Center student records may include name, phone, email, guardian phone, QR identifiers, attendance, homework submissions, grades, points, notes, and financial data. Public registration campaigns may collect applications through tokenized links controlled by the center.

Center portal access allows enrolled center students to take assigned exams and submit homework through separate portal login flows.

Teachers operating centers are data controllers for their center student information and must comply with applicable local laws regarding minors and educational records.

10. Teacher Subscriptions and Staff

Teachers access LMS and Center features subject to active subscription plans managed by platform administrators. Plans may limit courses, enrollments, staff seats, or features.

Teachers may invite staff members with granular permissions for LMS sections (courses, students, quizzes, finance, etc.) and Center sections. The teacher is responsible for staff actions performed under their account umbrella.

11. Quizzes, Proctoring Signals, and Academic Integrity

During timed quizzes and center exams, the Platform may record answers, timestamps, heartbeats, auto-submission on timeout, and focus/tab-switch violations to support academic integrity. Teachers and centers may review this data when evaluating attempts.

Automated signals are indicative only; teachers make final grading and disciplinary decisions.

12. Advertising and Promotional Placements

The Platform may display promotional creatives to signed-in users. We log impressions, clicks, skips, and completions along with your user ID, course context, and page identifier to measure ad performance. See our Privacy Policy for details.

13. Third-Party Services

Video hosting and streaming may use Bunny.net CDN/Stream and FlexiCloud storage. Email delivery uses configured SMTP or mail providers. Fonts may be loaded from Google Fonts. Embedded players may include YouTube or Vimeo where teachers choose those sources.

Your use of third-party services through embedded content is also subject to those providers' terms.

14. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or specific educational outcomes.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EduRise and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, teacher content, or payment arrangements between users.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars, except where prohibited by law.

15. Termination

You may stop using the Platform at any time and request account deletion through info@eduorise.com. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, non-payment of teacher subscriptions, legal requirements, or prolonged inactivity.

Upon termination, licenses to access courses end, though provisions that by nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits) will remain in effect.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect product changes or legal requirements. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

17. Governing Law and Contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country apply.
